Science Popularization Contest – Video Category

Video Category : 1st price : $500 ; 2nd price : $250

  • The video length must be at the most 3 minutes. Exampes : video capsules, short films, interviews, songs, videoclips, presentation in the style of “my thesis in 180 seconds”…etc;
  • The limit to complete the participation form is march 15th 2023 at 17 h;
  • The video film must be in a video format (MP4) with the following parameters : a photo of the work environment shown for 3 to 5 seconds and then your creation at the latest on march 15th 2023 at 17 h on one of the supplied backgrounds (see example below);
  • You will have to complete a consenting form so we can broadcast your video on the YouTube channel.

Please note that the video files might be too large to be uploaded directly on the participation form. When you complete the form, you will be prompted to use the INRS portal for voluminous files. You will simply have to add your file (please name it firstname.lastname.mp4) and use the student committee’s email address as a recipient: ce.ecotoq@inrs.ca.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The contest participant to « présente ta recherche en écotox » must be directed or co-directed by a regular member of EcotoQ;
  • The participant must be registered in a masters or doctorate program at least for until the current summer semester;
  • The research subject must correspond to one of EcotoQ’s research axis;
  • The research project must not be confidential;
  • The participant must have their research director’s approval to present their project in this contest;
  • The students who participated in previous editions can participate again as long as they send original content.
